The latest in the dock is up at the ever excellent Art of Noise.
This week the subject is "Birmingham's Musical Legacy" although a better title may have been "Birmingham & Music - shit or not".
The prosecution picks up on all the normal criticisms; Duran Duran, UB40, Shite heavy metal, Toyah et al. Whilst the defense holds up Metal as a positive, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Reggae, Bhangra and a recent NME (via Pete) as reasons to be proud.
Given my continual love of Duran Duran it should come as no surprise I'm going with the defense. Birmingham has a glorious musical heritage.
