Neil Gaiman blog on parenting

Neil Gaiman's web journal / weblog thing has this post by Neil about his daughter Maddy (link):

And as I said in the vanished blog entry, in a few years Maddy will forget that she had ever existed in a flurry of self-referential notes, and I will forget as well. And sometimes this Blog is just a diary, or a reminder. You forget the things you were certain you would always remember, especially the tiny things, and all too often they're the things that matter.

Strange really, but that summarises what I was trying to say in that last post nicely. I drop by Neil's weblog occasionally and interestingly enough, always find reading his webposts about family and friends a lot more emotionally interesting than reading about his work.
