Oliver Postgate 1925 - 2008

The news of Oliver Postgate's death rather dampened the Christmas mood in school today. All of us of a certain age seemed to realise that one more aspect of our collective childhoods had been taken from us forever.



Emily's cat Bagpuss: the most important, the most beautiful, the most magical... saggy old cloth cat in the whole wide world.

Personally I loved both Bagpuss and The Clangers. And seeing the various clips again only made me sadder that their creator is no longer with us.
