Okay so it was only a B match, but it let us see some of the possible alternatives.
Michael Owen just isn't match fit yet, but at least he's able to play and there's still time to get that fitness.
Theo Walcott looks okay, but whether he's going to be able to cope at international level is still the big question.
The big plus has to be Aaron Lennon. With no Shaun Wright-Phillips, Lennon may be just what we need for a late injection of pace.
But overall, pretty good, although I don't think it's going to have any influence on the starting 11 we'll see against Paraguay.
