Molly joined her local Brownie troop recently.
Which seems a little daft really because this meant she only had 4 weeks at Brownies before she had to move to Yorkshire with us. But we'd promised her she could join in September a long time ago and it felt mean to not keep our promise to her.
(Which is another one of those guiding principles behind our ideas on parenting. If you promise something, don't ever promise too much but always keep your promise)
So last night was her first night in uniform and the night she made her Brownie promise.
She did very well thanks very much.
And the good news is that since she's now officially a Brownie she gets automatic entry into the local Pocklington Brownies, jumping ahead of anyone on the waiting list. Sneaky.
