York Minster

Today I accompanied Year 5 on a trip to historic York Minster. If you're expecting some snotty comment on religion, forget it. This was all about going to see a building packed full of wow factor.
Strangely enough, few of our Year 5 kids had actually been to see it before. Although this is probably just an example of the tendency not to explore where you live. When you go away on holiday, you tend to take so much more in and go along to see everything and anything. But when you get home, it's back to normal and work, school, home becomes the order of the day.

(Thinking back on it - I never went to see what the inside of Birmingham Cathedral was like either).
