Following on from the whole Mary Jane statue thing....Marvel are on ridiculously dodgy ground here....

Okay, so it appears I can't go to bed quite yet.
After typing up the last post on the Mary-Jane statue farrago I was linking around a little and got to this post from Newsarama.

Now, whereas the Mary Jane statue was cheesecake this is just plain wrong.
Whilst the Mary Jane statue appeals to statue collectors with more money than sense most of the time (sorry Steve! you know's I loves ya really), this is porn imagery on a comic designed for mass market readership. I know most superhero comics aren't read by children, but they are marketed that way and images like this one just scream wrong, wrong, wrong.

And with that, I am going to bed dammit.
