Last Thursday, Molly and I were travelling in the car through York at a snail's pace, very hot and getting a bit fed up.
Radio 4 starts broadcasting the Krazy Kat documentary narrated by Quentin Blake.
All was well for half an hour.
Molly and Daddy entranced by the strange sensation of listening to comics being described on the radio.
From the Radio 4 website:
"Quentin Blake presents a profile of one of the most influential cartoon strips of the 20th century and its creator George Herriman, the first black cartoonist in print. Created in 1913, Krazy Kat was supported by William Randolph Hearst and syndicated in American newspapers for more than 30 years."
The program's repeated here: Krazy Kat.
Thanks to Pete for the link.
Other sites all about Herriman and Krazy here, & here.
Molly and I will be investigating more.
