Scott McClouds explains Google Chrome

Well this is interesting. Google are developing a new Internet browser and have released a 38 page comic by Scott McCloud to describe what it is and how it will work. As you might expect from McCloud, the man behind Understanding Comics & Reinventing Comics, the comic itself is a clean, polished and informative thing. I’m guessing this is what is referred to on Scott’s website as the “secret project”.

Unfortunately it seems they released the comic to the media a little ahead of the browser actually being ready - it’s official launch date is tomorrow. It’s well worth a look on the Blogoscoped website at the comic (although the servers are getting a lot of traffic so it’s down as I’m writing this after looking at over half the pages).
