52 - DC's new weekly series

DC comics have a new series out called 52. In a not-too great leap of imagination it's a 52 issue, weekly comic detailing what happens to the "DC Universe" when Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman take the year off
(No really. Okay, maybe it's a little more complicated than that but that's the essence of it).

I have no idea whether this is going to be any good or not.
(Although to be honest, it's certainly not my cup of tea, no matter how good it is).

But the reason for this post is that there's a new weblog by Douglas Wolk devoted to providing a weekly summary of a major ongoing series.

This is something I've been saying would be useful for a while now. Particularly for poor folks like me, who have a passing interest in knowing what's happening in the worlds of DC, Marvel & the other big titles out there but have neither the time nor the inclination to read the comics!
