Rejoice, for I have returned.
Okay, it's not that big a deal I suppose.
Anyway. We did it, we made the big move. Birmingham to Yorkshire. 131 miles.
And a completely different world.
Thursday 19th October was our official last day as Birmingham residents & our very first as proper Yorkshire folk.
We woke up on our mattresses. Then gathered together the few things the removal men hadn't taken the night before and waited for them to arrive to completely empty the house.
We finally left Birmingham at 10a.m.
And immediately set off for Pocklington. Or at least we sort of did. First stop was Tamworth services for breakfast. Then Pocklington. Passed the removal van around Nottingham so at least we knew they'd safely made it that far.
Very fast trip up.
Molly was engrossed in her portable dvd player so she couldn't spend the entire journey pointing out that "the speed limit is 70 daddy, you're doing 90"
And they say education is a good thing.
Anyway, we're here and all is good.
More later, but right now I've got pictures to put up.
