From Hell Major Arcana, Alan Moore rarities and online resources .....

Following the excellent Alan Moore interview over on the FPI blog (part 1, part 2), I'd like to point you over at Pádraig Ó Méalóid's Glycon live journal. It's a fascinating repository of all things Alan Moore, including a lot of completely unavailable and extremely rare work.

For example, where else are you going to find these incredible examples of Moore's artwork for the From Hell series:

Major Arcana: The Lovers and the Star (Eddie - Annie - The London Pentangle)
by Alan Moore, 1989 (
Taboo #2, 1989) Oil pastel, collage, construction paper

Back in the days of Taboo (89-92) when From Hell was being serialised, Moore did these fantastic inside back cover images. Three in all, but more were probably planned. Completely worth a look.
But there's a lot more available to us out there.

Long lost and uncollected strips: Pictopia, The Bowing Machine,
Amazing Rarities: Outbreak of Violets, Fashion Beast covers,
Transcripts of the performance pieces: Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels & Angel Passage.
And much, much more.

There's a host of Alan Moore stuff out there and we have to be extremely grateful for people like Pádraig Ó Méalóid and Stan Coleman of 4 Colour Heroes whose excellent site has another great wealth of rare Alan Moore works. We owe these two gentlemen our heartfelt thanks and a large drink.
